Posting this for my own benefit.
I’m totally dressing up as Bilbo for The Hobbit midnight showing. I’m planning it this early so that I’ll have plenty of time to hunt down all the perfect pieces for it, because let’s face it, a cosplay thrown together at the last second is never going to work out for something like this, especially when I’m trying for specific things (and I’m a bit of a perfectionist, hence my tendency to nearly NEVER cosplay).
I need:
pants (to be cut and hemmed)- suspenders (dad’s faulty ones with the bad clips, to sew buttons onto, unless I find some nice tan ones [I think his are black, which isn’t ideas])
a white dress shirt with some sort of offwhite/tan stripes (hopefully of a nice worn material, although my dad has a shirt that would be perfect… I don’t think I’ve seen him wear it anytime recently)a coat (preferably dark red, but blue would work also, judging by the caps I’ve seen/stuff he’s worn in the trailer)- Some sort of footwear (because it comes out in December and I freeze so easily)
a scarf- those supercheap pointy ear things they sell at halloween
- some sort of vest/a sweater I can cut the sleeves off of and make into a vest, perhaps
- I already have
the ring(got it off a friend’s bookmark in like 6th grade, it happens to fit my finger :D) - cooler buttons for the bilbo coat, if I’m feeling picky!
Totally just keeping my hair normal, but I’ll curl it and then mess it up. Lady Bilbo :D
